I was scared, angry, and lost. I didn't know how I was going to survive in prison, let alone how I was ever going to get out.

But I had one thing going for me: I was determined to prove my innocence.

I spent the next 20 years of my life fighting for my freedom. I read every legal book I could get my hands on, and I filed countless appeals.

Finally, in 2014, my conviction was overturned and I was released from prison.

I was overjoyed to be free, but I also knew that my life would never be the same.

I had spent so much time in prison that I had lost touch with the outside world. I didn't know how to use a computer, I didn't have any job skills, and I didn't have any place to live.

But I was also determined to make a new life for myself.

I started by getting my GED. Then I enrolled in college, where I earned a degree in social work.

After I graduated from college, I founded a non-profit organization called The Redemption Project. The Redemption Project helps formerly incarcerated individuals reintegrate into society. We provide housing, job training, and counseling to help our clients get back on their feet.

I am also a motivational speaker and author. I speak to audiences around the country about my journey from life in prison to life of purpose.

My story is a testament to the power of hope, redemption, and transformation. It is a story that shows that even after the darkest of times, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
